Domaine de Saint Siffrein

Situated in the Northern part of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape Appellation, the Domaine de Saint Siffrein vineyards spreads over a clay-limestone and sandy soil with a lot of large rolled stones for the A.O.C. Châteauneuf-du-Pape plots and a clay-sandy soil with large rolled stones too for the A.O.C. Côtes du Rhône Village plots.
All the plots are situated around the estate to bring more homogeneity to the wine. So, the A.O.C. Côtes du Rhône Villages plots are located closed to the North of the Châteauneuf-du-pape area to produce a very complex and high quality Côtes du Rhône Villages.
The Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah and Cinsault vines have been planted in perfect harmony with the soil specificities, they average 55 years of age, and are low-yielding in their production. The estate wines reach wonderful complexity from the blending of these varieties of grapes.
